This post follows part 1, where we have covered how to install a hydraulic robot, and we later had a look at installing a pressure pool robot to clean your pool. This post will now continue with the installation of the pressure pool robot. For more information on the hydraulic pool robot, please refer to part 1.
Installing the pressure pool robot is a little complex because it requires the installation of a booster. It is necessary to make the hydraulic connection with rigid PVC pipes to resist the water pressure.
Warning: you must plan for this when building the pool and not afterward. The work would be too extensive!
It is strongly advised to have your booster installed by a professional: the connections must hold a minimum of 16 bars of pressure.
Note: this motor must have IP55 protection and class F insulation.
Once installed, this robot moves randomly, but automatically, at the bottom of the pool. Remember to remove it from the water when swimming for safety reasons.
Good to know: installing this pool robot is expensive because you have to add the robot’s price, the booster, the electrical box, and the labour.
Maintenance of a pressure pool robot
This type of robot does not require any special maintenance. It does not stress the pool filter, so there is no risk of it clogging.
As it is a rather sophisticated piece of equipment, it is advisable to call in a professional (recommended after-sales service) in the event of a breakdown.
If you wish to buy spare parts (belts, brushes, filter bags, etc.), be aware that these have a significant price and increase the budget. Also, make sure that the spare parts are compatible when you replace them (brand and model).
Cleaning your pool with an electric pool cleaner
The electric pool robot is suitable for all types of coverings and all bottom profiles.
Good to know: even though the electric pool robot has high efficiency and the price range is very wide, the purchase cost remains high.
Installing the electric pool robot
Installing this robot is simple because it does not require any modification to the installation of your pool.
Instruction for installation:
– Plug it into an electrical outlet; it can also operate on a battery.
– Once placed in the water, all you have to do is activate the switch: the robot is entirely autonomous and can even be remotely controlled.
– Some models are programmable:
◦ You tell them the size of your pool and the cleaning duration; they can even optimize their movement by themselves.
◦ Some even clean the waterline.
◦ They stop by themselves at the end of the program.
Caution: Remember to remove it from the water when swimming for safety reasons.
Maintenance of the electric pool robot
This type of robot does not stress the pool’s filter, so there is no clogging risk. On the other hand, empty and clean its filter or filter bag after each use.
Good to know: the filter bag is sometimes machine washable.
This increasingly sophisticated equipment has a good deal of electronics, so repairs are costly and sometimes complicated. Therefore, it is advisable to contact the brand’s service department in the event of a breakdown.
Should you be looking for a professional to clean your pool, you will have to see that he has the necessary equipment adapted to your pool. Hope the above information helps you in that way. Remember to share your experience in the section below.
